Der alte Güterbahnhof in Duisburg ist wohl allen als Lost Place bekannt. Oft konnte man Horden von Fotografen oft mit Models im Schlepptau über das Gelände wandern sehen.
Bereits 1864 sind auf dem Gelände die ersten Bahnanlagen vermerkt.
Eine Empfangshalle, ein Lokschuppen und eine Halle für Güter. Das Gelände wurde außerdem zumindest teilweise durch die Schwerindustrie genutzt und im Süden befand sich außerdem ein Bahnreparaturwerk mit Lokschuppen und Drehscheibe.
Nach dem 2. Weltkrieg wurden die Industrieanlagen zurückgebaut und die Bahnanlagen ausgebaut und fortan das gesamte Gelände durch die Bahn genutzt.
Spätestens aber seit dem denkwürdigen 24. Juli 2010, als 21 Menschen die an der auf dem Gelände tobenden Loveparade teilnehmen wollten in einer Massenpanik umkamen, ist der Ort wohl jedem bekannt.
Ein Plan sieht seit neuestem vor das Gelände am alten Verladebahnhof in einen Park umzuwandeln.

The old goods station in Duisburg is probably known to everyone as a lost place. Hordes of photographers could often be seen wandering around the site, often with models in tow.
The first railway facilities are recorded on the site as early as 1864. A reception hall, a locomotive shed and a hall for goods. The site was also used, at least in part, by heavy industry and there was also a railway repair workshop with engine shed and turntable in the south.
After the Second World War, the industrial facilities were dismantled and the railway facilities were extended and from then on the entire site was used by the railway.
But at the latest since the memorable 24 July 2010, when 21 people who wanted to take part in the Love Parade raging on the site died in a mass panic, the place is probably known to everyone. A plan has recently been drawn up to turn the site at the old loading station into a park.
