Am Rande einer grossen Stadt und nicht weit entfernt von einem der bekanntesten Wahrzeichen Belgiens befindet sich, nahezu vergessen eine Krypta. Selten habe ich in meinem Leben ein so wunderschönes Licht erlebt wie in den Gängen dieser unterirdischen Anlage. Die Zeit schien dort still zu stehen. Kaum ein Laut der Aussenwelt drang bis hinunter in die Katakomben. Wir fotografierten, es schien mir wie eine halbe Stunde, doch es waren tatsächlich über vier Stunden. Dieser Ort hatte uns in seinen Bann gezogen und gehört auf jeden Fall zu den schönsten Lost Places von Belgien.

At the outskirts of a big town not far away from one of the best-known landmarks of Belgium one can find this forgotten crypt. Rarely I have seen such a beautiful light in my life as the one I discovered in this hypogean world of bizarre and morbide charm. Time seemed to stand still at this place and hardly any sound from outside could be heard. We started to take pictures and it felt like about half an our, when in fact we where already shooting for more than four hours. This place had captured us, a place, that undoubtedly belongs to the most fascinating lost places of Belgium.
